SPECIAL ELECTRIC HEAT RATE

Available to all consumers that meet the following criteria.

Single phase, 60 cycle, at available secondary voltage.

  1. The electric heating installation must be a permanent electric resistance and/or heat pump space heating system in a residence or commercial building.  This policy does not apply to electric heat storage installations.
  2. The electric heating installation must be separately metered for energy usage.
  3. The member shall furnish the metering equipment with the Cooperative furnishing the meter.
  4. The Special Electric Heat Rate shall be applicable for the billing periods of October thru April.

The Special Electric Heat Rate shall be effective until the rate is rescinded by Basin Electric.

Meter Charge:  $4.00

Energy Charge:  All energy @ 5.62 cents per kWh

The minimum monthly charge shall be $4.00 plus sales tax.

The above charges are net.  All accounts not paid by due date shall pay one and one‑half percent late charge on the unpaid balance of the account, minimum penalty of one dollar ($1.00).
